Good News!!!

Kora is perfectly fine. We went to the specialist on Thursday and got the best news any parent could get!! He came in for 5mins and check her head. He said she is just fine!! Yay for good news!! She is happy and so cute. Starting to "baby talk" and laugh. She sometimes scares herself is so funny.
It's getting warmer outside and we can't wait to explore the outside with Kora!!

3 Months......

So, on March 2nd Kora rolled over from her tummy to her belly!!! Grandma Davis was watching her at the time. She finally did it for us the next day. Billy turned the big 31 this year on March 3rd. Wow how time flies!!!

We are now on to something bigger in our lives. When Kora had her 2 month check up the doctor noticed her soft spot being smaller than normal. Usually they should be the size of a quarter or even bigger. Her's is the size of a dime and slowly getting smaller. In that case there is no room for her brain to grow. We have to take her to Pediatric neurologist this week :(
This is a very scary situation that you would not ever want to go thru. We are hoping for the best news that she wont have to have surgery! But if that's what we have to do to get her healthy we will survive thru it with the support of our family and friends.

Is it Spring Yet!

I keep hearing that spring is almost here yet we are suppose to get more snow! Not much of accumulation but enough is enough! I'm ready to take Kora on walks outside and show her that there is more than just this boxed up house she has been living in. I can't wait to explore new things with her.
Kora is now 3months. She had her 2 month check up a couple weeks ago. She weighed 9lbs! She's getting so big and so alert. She had to get the shots that every mother dreads. She did pretty good except about a week later she ended up getting very sick. Kora seems to be on the mend from that. Right now we have to give her different formula to make her stomach feel better. We hope by the end of this week she will be back to her normal happy self.

Almost 2 Months!

I can't believe my little baby is almost 2 months! She has grown so much. Or at least in her cheeks!! She still has her skinny little legs and can't fit into any clothes either!
I'm back at work full time and her Grandma Davis is watching her everyday. Her aunt Lou and cousin Haleigh got to watch her for the first time with out me being in their way! Haleigh did such a good job and one day soon she will be able to watch on her own.
We also got her first set of professional pictures done. We can't wait to see them!! She did such a good job and was so super cute!
Next week she has her second set of shots. This is the "big" shots that I know she will not like and neither will we! I can't wait to see how much she has grown.

Well, its been such a happy time at our house. We had the best Christmas with all of our family! It's 2011 and we are so grateful for bringing in the new year with our sweet baby Kora! I will be going back to work this week. I will miss her so much during the day! But Grandma Davis will be watching her so she is in good hands for sure.
Here is a picture of Kora and I sporting our Colts gear. She got the cutest cheerleader outfit from Michele. She finally got to wear it!!!

She's finally here!

Welcome Kora Grace Davis!!! She was born 11/29/10 @ 1:42 AM. I had the craziest delivery! We went in at 6:00 Sunday night to be induced for the next morning delivery. Once we got settled in our labor room we just hung out and watched TV. I got my second dose of inducing medicine @ around 12:15 since I was only 2cm and had not changed since 6:45. I started to get heavy contractions after that last dose. My contractions got so bad I finally asked for an epidural. But, the doctor that was supposed to do my epidural went up to the OR. So, it was a waiting game for what I remember being an eternity for him to show up. Next thing I know my contractions got so bad the nurse checked me and I remember her saying to Billy she is ready to GO!! I could not believe what I was hearing!! I went from 2cm to 10cm fully dilated in an hour in half!! They called my doctor right away. I had to hold off as long as possible from pushing until my Doctor showed up. As soon as she got there I pushed for about 20mins (at least that's what I was told) and only about 6 pushes and little Ms. Kora was born at 1:42AM! We are all happy and healthy and we are so happy as a family!!!
